Hair Braider Freedom Petition

I support Hair Braider Freedom!

HairBraider2.png

Currently, Rhode Island hair braiders are forced to overcome costly obstacles before they can obtain a license to legally work in their field of expertise, even though no chemicals or any other potentially harmful techniques are used.

Many such licensing requirements unfairly target and harm low-income family members, who want to start a new career or earn more money.

Our state should encourage work; NOT make it harder to earn a living!

House Bill H5436, sponsored by Representative Anastasia Williams, would exempt hair braiders from burdensome requirements to obtain an “occupational license”.

ACT NOW. Please SIGN the PETITION BELOW and join us in advancing hair braider freedom in Rhode Island!

Natural hair braiders provide chemical free hair services for their clients.

Ranked near last… RI isn’t the least friendly of the states towards business for no reason. Wake up slaves! This is exactly why Trump won, states like RI will not get out of the way.

Regulations disguised as protecting the population from harm are taking our freedom to do as we please and giving control of our lives to bureaucrats.
